My project or theirs - these folks created with me at one time or another.
More than Helpers - these are folks involved in more-or-less formal apprenticeships. They are students AND Helpers AND ultimately, the goal is to have every apprentice become a collaborator and peer. These folks will also show up in those categories here.
My Direct Mentors - not all teachers are mentors even if they inspire you. But all mentors are teachers in some capacity. Others can inspire without teaching but a mentor is (when done right) someone who has what you want, gives it freely, and inspires you along the way by introducing you to concepts, ideas, history that you wouldn't have otherwise found. Some take you under their wing and really show you behind the curtain though and these people in my life are listed here - most of them know i
People who have shown up, got their hands dirty and helped make magical things happen in this world on my projects.
Money and Supplies make art happen just as much as helping hands and creativity. These folks helped grease the wheels.
What's the difference between a patron and a donor? Well patrons give support for the artist's vision as opposed to just individual projects. Each of these people believed in me and supported my vision over time. I am indebted to them in ways I cannot express and which this doesn't not do adequate credit.
Whether offering grants, education or opportunities or networking - these organizations have helped create the artist I am.

There are no artists born and no art created that doesn’t owe existence to a long list of people – from inspirations and muses, to donors, patrons, assistants, venues, helpers and crew, to meetings of the mind, traveling companions, on two or more legs, random strangers at crossroads and collaborations with other talented artists and all the ways those things overlap. Help me change the world by making your own artistic gratitude list and publishing it. Let's start naming those who have helped us create and become. Let's do the opposite of what we see the world doing and celebrate the process of learning, creating, and growing together.
